Home
Farmer currently lives in South Riverdale in Toronto, Ontario. He is originally from Winnipeg, Manitoba (born 1968). Longing for a change of scenery, Farmer moved to Vancouver, British Columbia in 1993. After three months at Emily Carr College in 1995 Farmer decided to continue his studies without scholastic influence. Farmer eventually attained foundation year at Kootenay School of the Arts in Nelson, BC (1998-1999). He moved to Toronto, Ontario in 1999 to pursue his art career as a contemporary artist. Within the arts sector Farmer was employed as a faux finisher. With a group of other artists he co-founded Eastern Front, an artist's collective in Riverdale in 2003. Farmer has been featured in The Toronto Star, NOW Magazine, and Riverside Quarterly. His work was part of the press release for The Toronto Outdoor Art Exhibition in 2007, and received coverage in toronto.com <http://toronto.com> and blog.to <http://blog.to> . One of his collectors is Peter Tabuns, MPP Toronto-Danforth. Farmer currently maintains a consistent practice locally and nationally.
